My Postpartum Must Haves For Healing + Nourishment

As a new mama, there were a few things that really helped me during those first few tender weeks of recovery and motherhood. While everyone has a different postpartum journey, these items were things I relied on.

One. Bodily ‘Care For Birth’ Boxthis care kit has literally everything you need to recover from birth. From comfort to breastfeeding,

Two. Bodily Recovery Latte: Restorethe Restore latte has been so nourishing postpartum— a warming turmeric blend complete with organic cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, and other superfoods to support your body and mind during recovery. This latte draws from Indian tradition to unlock the anti-inflammatory benefits of black-pepper-activated curcumin (the active ingredient in turmeric) and antioxidants in the blend.

Three. SoKind Pure Kindness Restorative Nipple BalmMy favorite nipple balm by far. Not only is the packaging beautiful, but the consistency of the balm is so lovely. This Restorative Nipple Balm is a botanical repairing balm bringing intense moisture to revitalize dry, sore, and cracked nipples. It is formulated with fatty acid-rich oils and natural antioxidants to deliver immediate focused repair. Vegan, free from dyes, no phthalates, fragrance free, alcohol free, cruelty free.

Four. Frida Mom Disposable UnderwearThe best and most supportive underwear to wear postpartum. I would recommend buying two boxes. I wore them all the time for those first few weeks.

Five. Bodily Cozy SocksThese are way more comfortable than the socks they give you at the hospital. I really liked how long these were, which made them extra cozy.

Six. Anya Postpartum Recovery PlanThis is a beautiful brand dedicated to any woman’s postpartum journey. I love how their products are designed to nourish and take care of the body.

Seven. Bodily ‘The Everything’ Nursing BraOne of my favorite nursing bras. So comfortable and soft— I recommend sizing down as they are extra stretchy.

Eight. Bodily ‘So Easy’ Nursing BraOne of my favorite nursing bras to wear on lazy days.

Nine. Bodily Organic Breast Pads— Organic, reusable breast pads which are so easy to wash and are a sustainable option to disposable breast pads.

Ten. Perelel Mom Multi VitaminsMy absolute favorite multi-vitamins to take as a new mama. They are so easy to take with their convenient packaging and have been incredibly supportive for my body. My hair and nails are noticeably stronger.

Eleven. Milksta Boobie Latteone of my favorite drinks for supporting my milk supply. The taste is so delicious and it is packed with so many good ingredients. You can use the code ‘TAYLR10’ for 10% off.

Twelve. Dohm White Noise MachineWe use this sound machine every night in our bedroom before going to sleep— I love how simple this sound machine is and the natural sound it makes. I also turn it on when I put baby down for a nap. It’s so soothing; I look forward to turning it on when it’s time for bed.

Thirteen. Hatch Nightlight + Rest Sound MachineI use this for a night light every night, and sometimes keep it on throughout the night so I can keep an eye on Coen when he is asleep. I love that you can customize the color you want it to glow (my favorite is deep red).

Fourteen. Lalo / Canopy Humidifier— Another must have for the bedroom! I noticed such a difference in how I feel in the morning ever since using this humidifier. It is both beneficial for myself and baby. This humidifier also doubles as an air purifier (no mist) and has a designated place to drop your favorite essential oils to breath better and give an aroma to the room.

Fifteen. Cozy Sweatshirts + Sweatpants— something like this one here or like this. My new wardrobe as a mama consists of a lot of easy to wear, comfortable clothing. I have been living in sweatshirts and anything easy for breastfeeding, I think they look really cute with vintage denim and slides.
