NYFW Day One Recap
After getting off my plane from Paris, I had less than ten hours before heading to New York for Fashion Week. Without letting jetlag get the best of me yet, I arrived in New York ready to hit the ground running. My first day of Fashion Week included both work and play, lots of uber rides, and going backstage with TOME pre-show. There is something eyeopening and uttery cool about seeing the madness before the show. Although there is so much going on, all of the models are extremely calm, like athletes before a big game. After capturing some shots and experiencing backstage, my friend Stephanie and I headed to Brooklyn for the day to meet up with my sister who also happened to be in New York at the same time. We dove into some delicious pizza and sangria for lunch at a favorite spot, Fornino and spent the rest of the day wandering and exploring. Exploring included visiting some of my favorite spots in Brooklyn: Catbird, Mociun, and coffee! Sunset hits the city so beautifully and as the golden sun set, I headed back to Manhattan thinking of nothing more than a glass of wine on my hotel's rooftop and a good night's sleep.
