Sometimes you stay somewhere and it makes an impression on you. So much so, that when you leave you can't help but want to come back again very soon. From the moment I walked into the lobby at citizenMI knew this place was cool. The living room inspired layout was my first indication, and it didn't take long for my eyes to notice the eclectic selection of artwork and furniture. Not to mention, the incredibly kind and warm staff that was constantly on their A game. From check-in, to happy hour, to my next morning coffee, I can't say enough kind words about the people I met and conversed with. Overall, this was a place I want to share about.

Last month, I had the jet-setting experience to head to NYFW shortly after landing back in Los Angeles for just a moment. After many hours on a plane, there was nothing I needed more than a good night's sleep in (quite possibly) the world's fluffiest XL king sized bed courtesy of citizenM. No exaggerations on how amazing this bed is... see photos above to understand what I mean.

Every morning, I went downstairs to have a light breakfast and the best latte in town. Although, I must add, they have an entire buffet for you to consume if you'd prefer. Tempting, I know. After breakfast, I was off for the day knowing my big, comfy bed would be waiting for me...

I think my favorite part about citizenM is the functionality of every room. Realistically, when in NYC or any city for that matter, you're not going to spend your precious hours sitting in your room. Other than sleep and a proper shower, what else do you need? Every room provides an XL king-sized bed and fluffy pillows, a wall-to-wall window, ambient lighting options, a rain shower, free Wifi, free premium TV channels (including HBO) on an LED TV and a perfect closet to unpack. And that's just the beginning. You really don't need to bring much, which makes citizenM a destination perfect for city travelers. With hotels in Amsterdam, Glasgow, London, Paris, and Rotterdam, I'm already thinking about which citizenM is going to be my next stop. Where to next?
