My Stay At MADE Hotel in Manhattan, New York
We arrived in New York ten past midnight; after a long flight we were excited to be in the city. Running into the Made Hotel lobby, with rain on our shoulders, we were greeted by a cheerful young man with a comforting personality. The lobby was cozy with warm lighting and a hum of conversation buzzed from people amongst the corners of the bar and coffee shop. Although the lobby was slowed by the late hour, it made it easy to take in the space. A small cafe filled the street side wall, a bar in the back, and chairs and couches in between gave New York’s NoMad area a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the loud streets. As we took the elevator up to the sixteenth floor, an excitement rose as we walked through our door. A beautifully-styled and modern room welcomed us for our four night stay. With a city view, we took in the lights and then fell asleep quickly in the cozy king bed. Waking up was easy, and a fresh cup of coffee was conveniently awaiting at Paper Coffee downstairs. I picked up an oat milk latte and pumpkin bread, and we headed out into the busy city for the day. Staying at Made Hotel was so nice— it was Canon’s first time in New York, so we were close to everywhere we wanted to go. For five days, I felt like Made was a comfortable, cool and super photogenic oasis for us in the center of Manhattan. There is a lower patio deck reserved for hotel guest which was secluded and quiet, but if you preferred a more lively atmosphere, heading up to Good Behavior, the rooftop bar surrounded by panoramic views of the city, would be the place to be. I am excited to go back to the city, and Made Hotel will always be my go-to NoMad stay.
